Billy Gernon have announced a pair of changes to the coaching staff for the upcoming 2025-26 season. Assistant coach
Josh Rebandt has been promoted to add recruiting coordinator to his title, and the Broncos have hired
Glenn Miller to serve as an assistant coach for the program.
In Rebandt's first season with the Brown and Gold, Western Michigan earned four victories over Power Conference foes, taking down Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern and Notre Dame. The Bronco offense put a renewed emphasis on the running game, swiping nearly 20 more bases than in 2024 and boasting two of the league's top-8 individuals in steals. WMU continued its success in the classroom as well, boasting five CSC Academic All-District selections and a league-leading 14 Academic All-MAC honorees.
Miller comes to Kalamazoo after spending last year as an assistant coach at Davenport University, where he primarily worked with the program's infielders. In his one season, the Panthers went 42-15 overall and 21-3 in conference play to win the GLIAC regular season championship. DU followed that up by going 4-0 to capture the GLIAC Tournament title and punch its ticket to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.
While at Davenport, Miller aided in the development of GLIAC Player of the Year Xander Reisbig and All-Region honoree Justin Johnson. DU boasted a total of six All-GLIAC First Team selections and had five named CSC Academic All-District.
As a player, Miller began his collegiate career with two seasons at Spring Arbor University before spending his final three years at Eastern Michigan. In three years with the Eagles, he started 115 games and totaled 111 hits, 28 doubles, two triples, four home runs and 49 RBIs. He was a two-time Academic All-MAC honoree, a 2024 CSC Academic All-District selection and received a bachelor's degree from EMU in April of 2024. While in college, he played summer ball for the Traverse City Pit Spitters when they were managed by Rebandt.
Following his collegiate career, Miller played professionally for the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League and Rocky Mountain Vibes of the Pioneer League.
