Trio of Broncos Receive All-MAC Accolades

CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced its specialty award winners and All-Conference Teams on Tuesday with three Western Michigan Broncos earning recognition. Jimmy Allen, Brady Miller and Cade Sullivan were all selected to the All-MAC Second Team.

Allen paced the Broncos with a .311 batting average during the regular season and hit .368 in conference play, which ranked sixth in the Mid-American Conference. The senior is tied for the team lead with 15 doubles this season, 13 of which have come in MAC play, which ranks third in the league.

Miller leads Western Michigan in wins (7), innings pitched (82.0) and strikeouts (86) this season. His seven wins are tied for third-most in the MAC, while his innings pitched rank third and strikeouts rank sixth in the league. Miller won seven of his 10 MAC starts and was tied for the league's top spot in wins (7) and was third in both innings pitched (63.2) and strikeouts (73) in conference play.

An All-MAC Second Team selection for the second straight year, Sullivan is tied for third in the conference with 16 home runs this season, the most by a Bronco in a single season since John Toner launched 16 in 2001. The junior has driven in 56 runs, which ranks third in the league and is tied for fourth-most in WMU program history. Sullivan has taken things to another level in conference games, as he sits atop the MAC in both home runs (11) and RBIs (39) in league play, while also tying for fourth in runs scored (35) and sixth in OPS (1.101).
