BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Western Michigan's Natalie Samdal finished fifth overall as the Bronco golf team wrapped up the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, hosted by Bowling Green at Stone Ridge Golf Club on Saturday afternoon.
Samdal shot a final round of 76 for a 36-hole total of 150 (+6). The Davenport graduate transfer finished just three shots behind Grace Suter of Loyola and Amelia Lee of Toledo, who tied for first. Samdal had 23 total pars on the weekend and three birdies. She also had one of the two eagles in the tournament.
The Broncos combined to shoot a 309, matching their total from Friday to shoot a 618 (+41) and take fourth overall. The Rockets were the top finishers at 604 (+28), followed by Loyola at 615 (+39) and Butler at 616 (+40). WMU finished ahead of MAC competitors BGSU, and Central Michigan.
Senior Haley Barclay was WMU's second finisher, shooting a 78 for a 155 (+11) and tying for 17th. Senior Alissa Fish and freshman Megha Vallabhaneni both finished with 159 (+15) after Fish finished off the tournament with a 77 and Vallabhaneni a 78. Ally Barth wrapped up WMU's five with a 162 (+18).
Western Michigan closes out the regular season next Friday and Saturday at IUPUI's Lady Jaguar Invitational
