KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan golf team wrapped up hosting the second round of the 2023 Mid-American Conference Championship at Kalamazoo Country Club on Saturday.
The Broncos combined to shoot a 319 (+31) and sit in fifth place with a 36-hole total of 622 (+46). WMU is just four strokes from fourth place and five from third place. Kent State leads the tournament with a 596 (+20).
As they finished round one, Megha Vallabhaneni and Haley Barclay sit tied. Both shot 79's and are in a five-way tie for 10th place with a two-day total of 153 (+9). Natalie Samdal and Alissa Fish are also tied, sitting at 158 (+14) and in a three-way deadlock for 27th. Freshman Jenna Hayes founded out Western Michigan's competitors after finishing with an 81 for a two-round total of 162 (+18).
