The Broncos open the tournament with a doubleheader on Friday against St. Thomas and tournament host Bradley, before closing out the weekend on Saturday afternoon against IUPUI.

THE FIRST SERVE

LAST TIME OUT
The Broncos went 1-2 last weekend at the UNI Tournament in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Western Michigan dropped its weekend opener to tournament host Northern Iowa on Friday, before splitting its Saturday matches, a five-set win over Grand Canyon and a four-set defeat at the hands of SEMO.
ALL-TOURNAMENT PERFORMANCE
For the second time this season, senior outside hitter
Maggie King made an All-Tournament Team, earning the honor at last weekend's UNI Tournament. King recorded double-digit kills in all three of WMU's matches and totaled 51 (3.92/set) for the weekend. She also added at least nine digs in every contest, including a career-high tying 16 digs in the win over Grand Canyon. King was also named to the Buffs Invitational All-Tournament team after the opening weekend of the season.
THE OPPONENTS
Western Michigan begins the weekend with its first-ever meeting against St. Thomas on Friday. That evening, the Broncos battle Bradley for the first time since 2016. WMU is 2-0 all-time against the Braves. The Broncos close out the weekend on Saturday afternoon against IUPUI, a program it has won all seven prior meetings against.

Logan Case continued her strong start to the season with 134 assists (10.31/set) last weekend. The two-time reigning MAC Setter of the Year leads the conference in both total assists (391) and assists/set (11.50) this season. The junior also ranks third in the nation in both categories.

Maggie King and
Julia Marr have been among the best in the Mid-American Conference so far in 2022. At 3.63 kills/set, Marr ranks fourth in the conference, while King's 3.37/set average is currently sixth. Marr (3.94) and King (3.82) currently rank fifth and seventh, respectively, in the MAC in points per set.
