Women's Basketball Finalizes Schedule with Three Road Tilts

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan and head women's basketball coach Shane Clipfell announced the addition of three non-conference games to finalize the team's 2022-23 schedule on Tuesday. The Broncos have added road games at Colorado (Nov. 30), Valparaiso (Dec. 7) and Chicago State (Dec. 17) to their non-conference slate.
 
Western Michigan is set to visit Colorado on November 30. The Buffaloes are the fourth team on WMU's schedule which made last season's NCAA Tournament. The Broncos will remain out west for their previously announced game at Colorado State on December 3.
 
Following the contest at CSU, Western Michigan has added a trip down to Indiana to face Valparaiso on December 7. The Broncos defeated the Beacons, 69-54, last season at University Arena.
 
WMU returns to Kalamazoo to battle Indiana State on December 10, and then heads back out on the road for its final two non-conference contests. The Broncos are set to visit Chicago State on December 17 for the programs' first meeting since the 2019-20 campaign. Western Michigan has won its last six matchups against the Cougars. WMU closes out non-conference play on December 21 at Notre Dame before opening up MAC on January 4 at Toledo.
