KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's basketball program and head coach Dwayne Stephens have announced the addition of guard Seth Hubbard out of Jonesboro, Ga. Hubbard joins Max Burton (Williamston, Mich.), JaVaughn Hannah (Mount Clemens, Mich.) and Jefferson Monegro (LaSalle, Quebec) in WMU's 2022 recruiting class. All four are set to suit up for the Broncos beginning in 2022-23.  
 
"Seth is a great addition for us," Stephens said. "He comes from a winning program at Huntington Prep and brings many winning qualities to the table. Seth is an athletic and versatile guard who knows how to get his teammates involved and can score it in multiple ways. We look forward to him getting to campus this summer!"
 
Hubbard comes to WMU after spending the final year of his high school career at Huntington Prep in Huntington, W. Va., a prep school which has produced several NBA players, including 2018 NBA Lottery pick Miles Bridges and former number one overall pick Andrew Wiggins.
 
At Huntington Prep, Hubbard averaged 20.0 points and 5.0 assists per game. He also had a career-high 36-point game for coach Arkell Bruce and the Irish.
 
Prior to Huntington Prep, Hubbard played for three years at St. Francis High School in Alpharetta, Ga. During his first two seasons, he helped the Knights to back-to-back state championships. As a junior, Hubbard averaged 18.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.1 steals per game on the way to a First Team All-Conference selection. He also has been selected All-State since his freshman year.
