HOLLAND, Ohio – The Western Michigan golf team wrapped up the second day of the Mid-American Conference Tournament at Stone Oak Country Club on Saturday afternoon.
WMU was nine strokes better than its total from Friday, shooting a combined 323 for a 36-hole total of 655 (+79). The Broncos sit in ninth place heading into Sunday's final round and are within 10 strokes of eighth place Eastern Michigan. Kent State leads the tournament at 590 (+14), with Northern Illinois in second place at 603 (+27).
Senior Courtney Imogen once again paced the Broncos, shooting an 81 for a two-round total of 161 (+17) and is tied for 25th. Junior
Alissa Fish is two strokes behind her at 163 (+19) after improving her second round by five strokes. Freshman
Ally Barth is tied for 37th with a 165 (+21), while Brook Gibbons was six strokes better than her first round and sits at 166 (+22).
Cameryn Lucia rounds out WMU's top five at 172.
The Broncos begin the third and final round of action on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
