KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Sophomore defender Mira Pierre-Webster, fifth-year senior defender Kai Sugiyama and senior forward Reagan Wisser from the Western Michigan women's soccer team have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Pierre-Webster (4.0, nursing), Sugiyama (3.85, biomedical sciences) and Wisser (3.96, nursing) all earn the honors for the first time in their careers.

The 2022 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The trio now move on to be eligible for CSC Academic All-America voting.
