YPSILANTI, Mich. – Sophomore
Sarah Moravansky tied the program's all-around record score of 39.375, as the Broncos came away with a victory in the Eastern Michigan quad-meet against EMU, Ball State and Wisconsin Oshkosh on Friday night.
The Broncos (5-0) set the program record for the highest team score in a road meet, 196.100. Eastern Michigan scored a 195.025, while Ball State also scored 195.025, and Wisconsin Oshkosh scored 191.650.
As a team, Western Michigan scored 48.825 on uneven bars, 49.175 on beam, 49.075 on the floor, and 49.025 on vault.
Moravansky tied for first on vault with a 9.875, while
Halle Faulkner and
Payton Murphy registered a 9.850. Moravansky won bars with a score of 9.875, and Murphy finished with a 9.800. Murphy tallied a 9.875 on beam, as Faulkner and
Amanda Gruber scored 9.850.
Sophomore
Dani Petrousek and junior
Ronni Binstock won the floor with a score of 9.875. Faulkner scored a 9.850 and Moravansky finished with a 9.800.
Up next, the Broncos travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to take on the Crimson Tide and North Carolina on Friday, Feb. 4 at 8:30 p.m.
