Logan Case earned Mid-American Conference West Division weekly honors, the league office announced on Monday. Â
For the fourth straight week Bontrager and Case took home conference weekly honors. For the sixth time this season Bontrager was named MAC West Offensive Player of the Week while Case was named MAC West Setter of the Week.
In three matches against Northern Illinois and Kent State, Bontrager posted 44 kills, averaging 4.89 per set while registering a staggering .476 hitting percentage. The senior outside hitter ended the regular season with 18 straight double-digit kills matches and leads the MAC in kills and kills per set.
Last Tuesday against Northern Illinois Bontrager earned 12 kills to go along with six digs, two blocks and one service ace. On Friday night against Kent State the Valparaiso, Ind., native recorded a career-high .560 hitting percentage to go along with 15 kills, eight digs and two blocks. In the regular season finale Bontrager led the Broncos with 17 kills and a stellar .500 hitting percentage with seven digs and two blocks.

th in kills per set and 15
th in total points. Bontrager ranks 36
th in the NCAA in total attempts and top ten in the country in total kills.
Case led Western Michigan last week with 114 assists, averaging 12.67 per set as the Broncos went 3-0 with sweeps over NIU and Kent State. On the weekend against Kent State, Case recorded 74 assists, averaging 12.3 per set. The freshman setter leads the MAC in total assists and assists per set.
Against Northern Illinois on Tuesday Case recorded 40 assists with eight digs. It was Case's eighth match this season registering at least 40 assists. On Friday against Kent State, Case led the Broncos with 35 assist to go along with three digs and one service ace. In the season finale the freshman setter posted 39 assists with one service aces and four digs.
Overall Case leads the NCAA in assists per set and ranks third in the nation in total assists.
