COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Western Michigan fifth-year senior Ethen Frank has been named Bauer National Collegiate Hockey Conference Forward of the Week for his performance in WMU's season-opening sweep of Ferris State.
Frank started off the season with three goals and two assists on the weekend. In Friday's 4-0 win he scored two goals and added an assist. His first goal put the Broncos up 2-0 in the second period and his second of the night capped off the game, making it 4-0. In Saturday's come-for-behind win he assisted on WMU's first goal of the night that cut FSU's lead to 2-1. He then tied the game up at 2-2 with his third goal of the weekend.
Western Michigan is off this week and resumes action next weekend with a home-and-home series against No. 3 Michigan.
