KALAMAZOO, Mich. – After another sweep, the Western Michigan hockey team retained its spot in the national rankings.
The Broncos did move up one spot in the USCHO poll to No. 7. In the USA Hockey rankings, WMU was able to maintain its slot at No. 7. Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Denver and Minnesota Duluth were the top five teams in both polls.
NCHC wise, WMU was joined by DU, UMD and North Dakota. Colorado College, Miami, St. Cloud State, Omaha and Arizona State were all receiving votes, helping the conference have all nine teams featured in this week's rankings.
The Brown and Gold are off this week and will return home to play Minnesota Duluth on Dec. 5-6. The series opener is set for 7 PM at Lawson Arena. For tickets, visit
