KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Beginning on July 1, 10 players from the Western Michigan baseball team will play in the "Michigan Pod" for the 2020 Northwoods League season.
The Michigan pod of the Northwoods League consists of six teams with the south division being the Kalamazoo Growlers, Kalamazoo Mac Daddies and Battle Creek Bombers. The north division will be the Pit Spitters, Resorters and Dune Bears all based in Traverse City.
The 2020 Michigan pod Northwoods League season begins on Wednesday, July 1 with 40 games in Kalamazoo and 20 games in Battle Creek. The season concludes with a three-day playoff schedule, Sept 3-5 to crown a champion.
