KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Western Michigan women's tennis will host Chicago State tomorrow, before welcoming Marquette to the West Hills Athletic Club on Sunday, with both matches starting at 1 p.m.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
Chicago State is looking for its first victory of the 2020 season. The Cougars finished fifth in the WAC final standings last year.Â
They return two all-conference selections from 2019 in sophomore Diana Borodina and junior Katarina Drazic, with Borodina earning WAC Freshman of the Year honors.
The Broncos are 4-0 all-time versus Chicago State, including a 7-0 win last season.Â
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Marquette defeated Chattanooga on Sunday to improve to 3-5 on the season. They return two All-Big East selections, in senior's Fleur Eggink and Milica Novakovic.Â
The Broncos lead the all-time series with the Golden Eagles 22-10.Â

Western Michigan won its second consecutive match on Saturday morning, shutting out Northern Iowa at the West Hills Athletic Club by a 7-0 score.
It marked the first ever meeting between the Broncos and the Panthers in women's college tennis. Â

Sophomore
Elizabeth Trupp saw her first action of the 2020 dual season, defeating Valentina Caro of UNI in straight sets (6-1, 6-4) at No. 6 singles.

Taylor Smith and freshman
Lindsey Zieglar teamed up for the first time this year, beating Thaissa Moreira and Olivia Fain at No. 3 doubles 6-3 on Saturday. Â
