Broncos Look to Extend Win Streak Tuesday at Ohio

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Having won two contests in a row the Western Michigan men's basketball team will look to continue its success hitting the road for its second match-up of the season at Ohio on Tuesday.

Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan heads into Tuesday's contest riding a two-game win streak and an overall record of 11-12 and 4-6 in Mid-American Conference play. With eight games remaining in the regular season, the Broncos would be the No. 8 seed if the MAC Tournament started today.

First Time Against the Bobcats
It will be the second meeting of the season between WMU and Ohio with the Broncos coming away with a 77-65 victory at home back on Jan. 4 to begin conference play. In the first meeting, Western Michigan was led by the quartet of Michael Flowers, Brandon Johnson, Titus Wright and B. Artis White, who scored 66 of WMU's 77 total points.  

Johnson Domination
Against Ball State on Saturday, redshirt junior Brandon Johnson dominated with a career-high 29 points on 12-of-14 shooting from the floor. Johnson scored 19 of his 29 points in the second half, including 15 straight during the final five minutes of play.

1,000 in Sight for Flowers
Junior Michael Flowers needs just 22 points to become the 43rd member of the 1,000-point club at WMU. Flowers leads WMU and ranks fifth in the MAC at 17.3 points per game.

All Good Streaks Come to an End
On Saturday at Ball State, Flowers' streak of 26 straight games scoring in double figures came to an end, scoring just five points in the 68-64 victory. Flowers has reached double figures in 51 of the 78 games played in his career.

Printy Earns 100
Senior Jared Printy on Tuesday is set to play in his 100th game in the Brown & Gold. For his career, Printy has played 99 games, starting 17 and has knocked down 81 three-pointers.

Scouting the Opponent
Ohio heads into Tuesday's match-up with an overall record of 11-12, 3-7 in MAC play and is coming off a 77-46 victory over Miami on Saturday. The Bobcats seek their first win over a MAC West opponent since Jan. 18 at Eastern Michigan.

The Bobcats have three players averaging in double figures led by Jason Preston at 15.8 points per game. Preston also leads the team with 173 assists and 37 steals. Ben Vander Plas leads Ohio on the boards, averaging 6.9 rebounds per game.
