KALAMZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan senior wide receiver and defensive back D'Wayne Eskridge has been named to the 2019 Biletnikoff Award Watch List by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation.

The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the season's outstanding FBS receiver in college football. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back, and running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award. As such, the Biletnikoff Award recognizes college football's outstanding receiver, not merely college football's outstanding wide receiver.

Eskridge racked up a career-high 776 yards receiving and led the Broncos in receiving yards per game at 70.5 and yards per catch at 20.4. The Bluffton, Ind., native also caught three touchdown passes and had the team's longest play from scrimmage, an 84-yard reception. An explosive athlete, Eskridge will play both wide receiver and defensive back in 2019. He was named Phil Steele Fourth Team Preseason All-MAC as a cornerback.

Eskridge is one of four Broncos to earn spots on watch lists this preseason, joining teammates LeVante Bellamy (Maxwell, Doak Walker), Giovanni Ricci (Mackey) and Luke Juriga (Rimington).

WMU Football single-game tickets are now on sale at www.wmubroncos.com/tickets and by calling 1-888-4-WMUTIX. The Broncos open the 2019 season hosting Monmouth on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m.
