CLEVELAND -- After the come-from-behind win over Central Michigan, Western Michigan quarterback
Broc Lowry and kicker
Palmer Domschke have earned MAC Player of the Week honors.
Lowry engineered a fourth quarter comeback to down Central Michigan 24-21. WMU faced a fourth and five at the CMU seven yard line and Lowry fired a pass to
Tailique Williams in the corner of the endzone to give the Broncos its first and only lead of the game with just over two minutes to play.
He finished with 150 yards passing and one touchdown, while also running for 82 yards and a touchdown. With Lowry leading the offense, the Broncos scored the final 10 points of the game. His rushing touchdown tied the game up at 14-14 midway through the third quarter. It was his eighth touchdown of the season, the first Bronco QB to reach eight since 1977. This is Lowry's second time earning MAC Offensive Player of the Week.
Domschke earns MAC Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time this season. He was perfect on extra points and nailed a clutch 46-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. Domschke was called into action with just over nine minutes left and hit the field goal, cutting CMU's lead to 21-17. It was the seventh field goal of 40+ yards that Domschke has made on the season.
