Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan heads into midweek action with an overall record of 7-17 and 1-3 in Mid-American Conference play. Last weekend WMU defeated Toledo 6-3 in game one of its weekend series before the final two games were canceled due to weather conditions.
Broncos vs. Spartans Part II
This will be the second meeting of the season between the Broncos and Spartans with WMU falling to Michigan State last Wednesday, 3-2. It will be the second time in three seasons the two teams will meet at Comerica Park.

Blake Dunn has had quite a sophomore campaign at the plate leading the team and ranking second in the MAC with a .394 batting average. Dunn has also reached base safely in a staggering 24 straight games.
Road Warriors
WMU will play 31 straight games prior to playing a home game to begin the season, the longest stretch in the NCAA. The Broncos first home game at Robert J. Bobb Stadium at Hyames Field on Friday, April 12 against Northern Illinois.
Looking for a BIG victory
With a win on Tuesday, WMU can secure its seventh win over a Big Ten team since 2013. Last season the Broncos captured two Big Ten wins over Northwestern and Michigan State.
Scouting the Competition
Michigan State has lost 10 of its last 11 games and has an overall record of 4-20, 0-5 in Big Ten Conference play. Last weekend the Spartans dropped two games at in-state rival Michigan being outscored 22-5.
