Tom Cook Gives Gift to Men’s Basketball Scholarship Fund

KALAMAZOO, Mich.  – Western Michigan men's basketball received a gift to the program on Wednesday as former Bronco Thomas Cook announced the "Thomas Cook Men's Basketball Student-Athlete Tuition Fund."

This generous gift will provide assistance for men's basketball student-athletes towards tuition during the Summer I & Summer II semesters.

"I am excited and fortunate to give back to the WMU Men's Basketball program that gave me a full scholarship as a player and experiences that I will never forget," said Cook. "This gift provides the student-athletes an opportunity to stay on campus during the summer and acclimate themselves to the college environment."

"This gift is a thank you to Western Michigan for giving me a great degree and preparing me for life after basketball. This is a proud moment for me to give back to the men's basketball program," said Cook."

Thomas Cook played three seasons at Western Michigan from 1965-67. During the 1964-65 season Cook averaged 7.7 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.
