KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Western Michigan gymnastics team will host Illinois Chicago in a non-conference meet on Tuesday, March 5 at 6 p.m. Admission to all WMU home meets is free. Tuesday's competition will be carried on ESPN3.

The Broncos enter the meet with an overall season average of 193.831. Western Michigan has scored over 195 three times this season, including a 195.050 this past weekend at Kent State. WMU's best team total of the year came at home in the season-opener against Northern Illinois, tallying a
195.075.
UIC has a team season average of 194.947 and the Flames' top score in 2019 is a 195.650.
Individually, sophomore Morgan Spence ranks fourth in the Mid-American Conference on the uneven bars with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 9.805. Senior Rachael Underwood is fourth on the balance beam with a 9.800 NQS.
Underwood has been the Broncos' top all-arounder and has twice scored a 39.2750 this season, most recently at Kent State. Freshman Emily Carless had one of her top performances of the year against the Flashes, taking first on the balance beam with a 9.875, tying her career high.
Including Tuesday's action, Western Michigan has three meets remaining before the MAC Championships. UIC is the final non-conference opponent for the Broncos. WMU rounds out its schedule with MAC duals, hosting Eastern Michigan on Senior Day, Sunday, March 10 at 1 p.m. Western Michigan is on the road at Bowling Green on Friday, March 15, for a 6:30 p.m. meet. The 2019 MAC Championships will be hosted by Northern Illinois on Saturday, March 23 at 2 p.m.
