Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan heads into its weekend series at Toledo with an overall record of 6-17 and 0-3 in conference play. The Broncos are coming off a 3-2 loss at Michigan State on Wednesday despite holding the Spartans to just five hits.
One of the Top Offenses in the Nation
WMU ranks 31
st in the NCAA with a .296 batting average and second in the MAC. The Broncos have scored double digit runs five times this season and have had double digit hits in 12 of the 23 games.
Broncos and the Long Ball
The Broncos lead the MAC with 21 home runs this season. WMU is one home run shy of tying its mark of 22 last season. Of the 21 home runs, 12 have come in the sixth inning or later.

Sophomore
Blake Dunn leads the MAC and ranks 35
th in the NCAA with a staggering .406 batting average. Dunn has reached base safely in a team-high 23 straight games and ranks fourth in the conference with a .472 on-base percentage.
Road Warriors
Western Michigan begins the 2019 campaign with 31 straight road games, the longest streak in the nation. WMU will play its first home contest on Friday, April 12 as part of a three-game series against Northern Illinois.

Broncos vs. Spartans at Comerica Park
In their second match-up of the season, Western Michigan and Michigan State will meet at Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday, April 2 at 6:05 p.m. It will be the second time in three years the two teams have played at Comerica Park.
Scouting the Rockets
Toledo heads into the weekend with an overall record of 9-13 and is 0-3 in conference play. Last weekend, Toledo was swept by in-state rival Bowling Green and fell to Ohio State 9-4 on Wednesday.
The Rockets are led at the plate by Brad Boss who leads the team in batting average (.381), runs (22), home runs (3) and RBIs (23).
