CLEVELAND – On Monday the Mid-American Conference announced that Western Michigan men's basketball senior center
Seth Dugan has been named Third Team All-MAC as voted on by the leagues' head coaches and media members.
Dugan leads the Broncos this season with 16.2 points per game along with 9.6 rebounds. During conference play the Otsego, Mich., native has been dominant averaging a double-double with 16.9 points and 10.6 rebounds per contest.
The senior center has registered 15 double-doubles this season, the second most in a single-season in school history. Dugan has earned 10 of his 15 double-doubles during conference play, breaking the mark for most double-doubles during MAC play.
Dugan is one double-double shy of tying the school record set by Booker James (16) during the 1986-87 campaign. During his senior year Dugan scored in double figures in 25 of the 31 games played along with nine 20-point performances.
Dugan is one just three players in the NCAA to have at least two "20-20" games. To begin the season, Dugan had 32 points and 22 rebounds versus Detroit Mercy and 20 points and 20 rebounds against Ball State.
Heading into Monday's First Round MAC Tournament match-up at Central Michigan, Dugan needs just 29 points to eclipse 1,000 for his career. In doing so, Dugan can become the 42
nd member of WMU's 1,000-point club.
