DEKALB, Ill.- The Western Michigan gymnastics team placed third at a tri-meet with Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan on Friday, Jan. 18. The Broncos scored a 192.000, while the Huskies had a
194.675 and the Eagles scored a 194.300.

Amelia Mohler hit both her beam and bar routines again this week. Sophomore
Morgan Spence started off with a fall and missed connection on beam, but rallied back on floor for the team with her best routine of her career.
"Freshman
Alyssa Keller led us off with a big vault on the third rotation and Stacie's vault was huge. Bars was the stand out event for the team with a score of 48.875. The bars line up hit 7 out of 7 routines and 5 of 7 dismounts."
Harrison had the Broncos' top overall finish, tying for first on the uneven bars with a 9.825. Junior
Amelia Mohler took third in the event, scoring a 9.800. Mohler also had WMU's best finish on the balance beam, taking sixth with a 9.675.
Sophomore
Morgan Spence turned in a fifth-place finish on the floor exercise with a 9.800. Senior
Rachael Underwood had WMU's best score on the vault, placing sixth with a 9.725. Underwood scored a 38.475 in the all-around.
Western Michigan returns to Kalamazoo to host rival Central Michigan in a MAC dual on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. All home Bronco gymnastics meets are free admission and are held at University Arena.
