Football at Georgia State Scheduled for 2 PM Kickoff on ESPN+

KALAMAZOO, Mich.- ESPN announced today that the Western Michigan at Georgia State football game on Saturday, Sept. 22 has been slotted for a 2 p.m. ET kickoff and will be carried on ESPN+.

The Sept. 22, 2018 matchup will be the first ever meeting between Western Michigan and Georgia State. The Panthers make a return trip to Kalamazoo on Sept. 14, 2019, as part of a home-and-home contract.

Located in Atlanta, Georgia State is a member of the Sun Belt Conference. The Panthers play their home games in what was formerly known as Turner Field, which served as the home ball park of the Atlanta Braves from 1997–2016.

Western Michigan opened the season with losses to Syracuse and Michigan, and hosts Delaware State before heading to Georgia State in Week 4. Kickoff this weekend against Delaware State is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. It will be the Broncos' annual CommUniverCity game, with fireworks scheduled at halftime. Georgia State split its first two games of the season, defeating Kennesaw State (24-20) in Week 1 and falling to NC State (41-7) in Week 2. The Panthers travel to Memphis this weekend before hosting Western Michigan on Sept. 22.
