KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Western Michigan gymnastics program and head coach
Penny Jernigan have released the 2019 schedule, which includes five home meets at University Arena.
The Broncos open the season with back-to-back meets against Northern Illinois, hosting the Huskies on Jan. 13 and then traveling to DeKalb, Ill., on Jan. 18.
Western Michigan returns home to host Central Michigan on Sunday, Jan. 27, for the Broncos' annual Alumni Meet. The other three home meets include Eastern Michigan on Friday, Feb. 8, Towson on Sunday, Feb. 17, Illinois-Chicago on Tuesday, March 5 and Eastern Michigan on Sunday, March 10. It will be Mental Health Awareness Day for the Towson Meet and Senior Day during the Eastern Michigan meet.
The Broncos are scheduled for road meets at Ball State (2/3), Eastern Michigan (2/8), North Carolina State (2/22), Kent State (3/1) and Bowling Green (3/15).
The 2019 Mid-American Conference Championship will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 2 p.m. on the campus of Northern Illinois.
