NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team finished competition at the Bobby Bayliss Invitational Sunday, Oct. 7 at the University of Notre Dame.
Jannik Opitz and
Zac Faveri both went unbeaten during singles competition and earned All-Tournament Team honors.
Opitz rounded out his 4-0 singles performance with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Vuk Budic from the University of Illinois on Sunday en route to receiving the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Faveri also finished 4-0 in singles play with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Fletcher Scott from Illinois, his seventh consecutive victory.
Overall on day three, the Broncos turned in a 7-1 singles record and 3-1 doubles record.
Up next, the Broncos have a weekend off prior to returning to South Bend to participate in the ITA Midwest Regionals Oct. 18-22.
