KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan women's tennis team finished the third round of singles on Sunday, Oct. 28 at West Hills Athletic Club, concluding play at the 2018 Bronco Hidden Duals tournament.Â
The Broncos went 4-1 during the third and final round of singles.
Taylor Smith,
Gabriela Slavova,
Elizabeth Trupp, and
Jeryn Jack each picked up wins for the Brown & Gold.Â
Jack, Slavova, and Trupp led Western Michigan throughout the weekend, each going 3-0 in singles competition.Â
"It was nice to have some success across the board this weekend," said assistant coach
Alexis Casati. "Our freshmen as well as players coming back from injuries fought really hard and were able to pull out tough matches which was exciting for us. It was obvious that a lot of improvements have been made since we competed a month ago, and what we need to work on as a group also became clearer. I think we did a nice job of gaining momentum as a group as we move into our last fall tournament."
Up next, the Broncos will host the WMU Super Challenge next weekend, Nov. 2-4 during their final fall event of the season.Â
