A Kalamazoo native, Jennings was a standout wide receiver for the Bronco football team from 2002-05. Jennings ranks second in program history with 39 touchdown receptions, a record in which he held from 2005-16. He owns three of the top-10 single-season touchdown reception marks, is tied for the team record for touchdown receptions in a game with four against Ball State in 2005, and is fourth all-time in career receiving yards (3,539), career receptions (238) and career all-purpose yards (5,093).
Returning from an injury during his redshirt freshman season in 2002, Jennings was the team's offensive MVP in 2003, leading the Broncos with 1,050 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. At the time, he was just the second Bronco to surpass 1,000 receiving yards and was named a Southern Football Weekly All-American and earned a spot on the All-Mid American Conference Second Team. During his junior season in 2004, Jennings was also the team's offensive MVP along with receiving team MVP honors and WMU's Player of the Year by CollegeFootballNews.com. An All-MAC First Team selection, Jennings recorded a second-straight 1,000 receiving yard season, the second ever Bronco to do so.
In 2005, Jennings was named the MAC Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year along with earning Sports Illustrated Second Team, Associated Press Third Team, and CollegeFootballNews.com Third Team honors. Additionally, Jennings was a two-time First Team All-MAC selection (2004, 2005) and a Second Team All-MAC selection in 2003. Jennings was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft.
Jennings went on to play 10 seasons in the National Football League, spending time with the Packers, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Miami Dolphins. His career was highlighted by a Super Bowl title with Green Bay in 2011, in which he caught four passes for 64 yards and scored two touchdowns in the Packers' 31–25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers during Super Bowl XLV. In 2016, Jennings retired from professional football at the age of 32 as a two-time Pro Bowler (2010, 2011) with 571 career receptions, 8,291 career yards, and 64 career receiving touchdowns. He currently works as an analyst for Fox Sports.
