WMU Athletics Announces 2018 Hall of Fame Class

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan Division of Intercollegiate Athletics and the WMU Hall of Fame Committee have announced the class of 2018 – Scott Duhl (men's soccer), Jim Havrilla (men's basketball), Becky Horn (women's track and field), Greg Jennings (football), Doug Marcero (baseball), and Chantal Robinson (women's soccer).

The 2018 WMU Athletic Hall of Fame induction and banquet will be held on Friday, Oct. 26 at the Fetzer Center. The event begins with a 5:30 p.m. social, followed by the induction and dinner at 6:30 p.m. Individual tickets are available for $40. Inductees will then also be honored the previous night on Thursday, Oct. 25 during halftime of Western Michigan football's game against Toledo.

Scott Duhl
Men's Soccer – Defender, 2000-03
Canton, Mich.

  • Only four-time All-MAC selection in WMU Men's Soccer history.
  • Two-time First Team All-MAC (2002, 2003), two-time Second Team All-MAC (2000, 2001).
  • National Soccer Coaches Association of America Third Team All-Great Lakes Region selection in 2003.
  • Helped WMU win program's first MAC Tournament Championship in 2003, recorded an assist in MAC Championship game.
  • Totaled 16 career goals and 15 career assists, for 47 career points.
  • Voted Team MVP in 2000 and 2003.
  • Set program record with 77 career games played.
 
Jim Havrilla
Men's Basketball – Forward, 1988-92
Portage, Ind.
  • Two-time First Team All-MAC selection (1990, 1992) and All-MAC Honorable Mention in 1991. 
  • Was third all-time in points scored with 1,554 at time of graduation and now ranks eighth.
  • Fifth all-time in free throws made with 449.
  • Seventh all-time in field goals made with 551.
  • Ranks in top 10 in career rebounds (eighth, 770), double doubles (eighth, 21), field goal attempts (tenth, 1,116).
  • Averaged 14.0 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game.
 
Becky Horn
Women's Track and Field – Sprinter, 2005-08
Battle Creek, Mich.
  • Program's only three-time USTFCCCA All-American, earning the honors during the indoor seasons in 2007 and 2008 and outdoors in 2008, all in the 800m run.
  • Totaled 17 MAC titles.
  • Eight-time individual MAC title winner (two each in indoor/outdoor 400m dash and 800m run).
  • Nine-time MAC title winner as part of the 4x400m and 4x100m relays.
  • Finished third in the 800m at the 2008 Outdoor NCAA Championships.
  • Six-time First Team All-MAC selection.
  • Named MAC Most Outstanding Track Performer and both the indoor and outdoor MAC Championships in 2008
 
Greg Jennings
Football – Wide Receiver, 2002-05
Kalamazoo, Mich.
  • 2005 Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year and MAC Player of the Year.
  • Sports Illustrated Second Team, Associated Press Third Team and CollegeFootballNews.com Third Team All-American in 2005.
  • Two-Time First Team All-MAC selection (2004, 2005) and Second Team All-MAC selection (2003).
  • Second all-time in touchdown receptions with 39, holding the program record from 2005-16.
  • Has three of the top 10 single-season touchdown reception marks.
  • Fourth all-time in career receiving yards (3,539), career receptions (238) and career all-purpose yards (5,093).
  • Holds team record for TD receptions in a game with four against Ball State in 2005.
  • Second round NFL Draft pick, Super Bowl XLV champion, two-time Pro Bowl selection (2010, 2011).
 
Doug Marcero
Baseball – Pitcher, 1986-89
New Baltimore, Mich.
  • First Bronco to be named MAC Pitcher of the Year (1989).
  • Went 11-0, setting a program record for most wins and highest winning percentage in a season in 1989.
  • Ace on the 1989 MAC Championship team.
  • Helped set school team record for most wins (39) and conference wins (23) in 1989
  • First Team All-MAC (1989).
 
Chantal "Telly" Robinson
Women's Soccer – Defender, 2003-06
Midland, Mich.
  • As a freshman, led WMU to first-ever MAC Tournament Championship after scoring two goals to defeat Bowling Green in 2003.
  • Scored the game-winning goal in upset over Illinois in the NCAA Women's College Cup for program's first NCAA Tournament victory.
  • First Team All-MAC selection (2005).
  • MAC All-Freshman Team selection (2003).
  • National Soccer Coaches Association of America Third Team All-Great Lakes Regional selection (2003).
  • Third in program history in career points with 57.
  • Holds program records for career assists (23), assists in a season (13) and points in a season (27).
  • Holds program record for career unassisted goals (14) and unassisted goals in a season (7).
