Women's Gymnastics | March 31, 2017

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan gymnastics team had nine student-athletes named to the Academic All-MAC team today. The total marks an improvement for the third straight year as the team had six in 2015, seven in 2016 and nine this year.
 
Making the team were Brittany Aragon, Rachel Binkley, Anna Corbett, Kelsey Hood, Katie Jennings, Jessica Juncaj, Audry Merritt, Jessie Peszek and Rachael Underwood. Corbett, Hood, Juncaj, Merritt, and Peszek are repeat honorees while Aragon, Binkley, Jennings and Underwood are first time honorees.
 
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
