WMU Head Coach Andy Murray
On forcing Omaha to play Bronco hockey…
I thought there was certainly a great exhibit of Bronco hockey tonight. A lot of grit, lot of determination, a lot of guys stepping up. Some guys that maybe have been in the background a bit. Aaron Hadley, not just the goal but the way he went about the game. The courage he showed blocking shots, the way he competed down low. Certainly J.T. Osborn, the smallest guy on the ice, the number of pucks he got along the wall and found a way to get it out and step it up when we needed.
On the line of Colt Conrad, Aaron Hadley and J.T. Osborn
I thought that line of Colt Conrad, Aaron Hadley and J.T. Osborn had an outstanding game. I'm always asked before the game 'What do you think your first line is going to do? Your second line? Third, fourth line?' I always say ask me after the game who the first line was. Because it's all based on merit and you get what you deserve and I thought that line was very good tonight.
Junior Forward Aaron Hadley
On the play of his line
I think my linemates were unreal tonight. There's no going around it. They were working, they were going to the corners and doing the dirty work. They are two elite offensive players and all three of us did our job tonight.
On the play of freshman forward Colt Conrad
He's really impressed me right from day one when he got here in the summer. He's been a hard-worker. He's done things the right way. Game-in and game-out we count on Colt to make plays to the net and work hard every night.
Junior Captain Sheldon Dries
On what he was prouder of, the game-winning goal of the game-high four blocked shots
The blocked shots. It goes farther with the team. They see me diving out there for the block, it goes a long way on the bench and keeps morale up.
On matching Omaha's energy tomorrow
We have to be ready too. A sweep against the one-two team in the country is huge for this team and the school, so we want to make a statement tomorrow.
