WMU's first appearance in the Shillelagh Tournament hosted by Notre Dame
This is the second of three regular season tournaments the Broncos will play in this season, WMU was runners up at the Brice Alaska Goal Rush and will play in the Great Lakes Invitational Dec. 27-28.
This will be the fifth time WMU and NU have met during a regular season tournament, Huskies lead the all-time series 3-1-0
First Period
Both teams were scoreless through the first period
Shots on goal were led by Northeastern, 13-9
Second Period
NU's John Stevens scored his third goal of the season, which was a power play off the faceoff within the first eight seconds of the game. NU's Stevens tallied the first goal of the game at 00:08 in the second period from Pimm and Roy.
Stevens' power play goal ended a 9-9 run by WMU's special teams, last PP goal was scored on Nov. 16 at Denver by DU's Makowski

Third Period
WMU power play goal by Shane Berschbach from Justin Kovacs and Sam Mellor at 12:09 in the third period tying the score 1-1. Berschbach extended his three game point-scoring streak by tallying his seventh goal of the season, along with scoring in back-to-back games.
Regulation play ends with the teams tied 1-1.
