WMU vs UM Game Notes 1-25

Pre-Game:
- WMU hasn't defeated Michigan in Kalamazoo since Jan.11,2003.
- WMU comes into the game (14-6-4, 10-4-2-1) and tied atop the CCHA standings.
- This will be the final time the Broncos and Michigan will play against each other in the CCHA.
- Dane Walters has 11 points, 7 goals and 4 assist in 10 career games against Michigan.
- Michigan is coming off their first conference road win last weekend against Lake Superior State.
- The Broncos are 8-0-0 when holding to opponents under 19 shots.
- WMU is 7-0-1 in the CCHA at home this season and 10-1-1 overall this season.

 First Period:
- Michigan Phil Di Giuseppe scores fifth goal of the season, gives U of M 1-0 lead.
- Michigan's Cristoval "Boo" Nieves with the assist. His 12th of the season.
- Michigan's Alex Guptill scores the power play goal, his seventh goal of the year. UofM leads 2-0.  
- Trevor Elias with his third goal of the season, gives the Broncos their first goal of the game.
- Luke Witowski and Will Kessel on the assist.
- Jordan Oesterle with his second goal of the season, tied the game up at 2-2.
- Game tied 2-2 after first period.
- Michigan is outshooting WMU 12-5 in the first period.
- Two of the five shots for the Broncos are goals.

 Second Period:
- Colton Hargrove scores third goal of the year, to put the Broncos up 3-2.
- WMU comes back from a two goal deficit.
- WMU leads Michigan 3-2 after the second period.
- The Broncos and Wolverines are tied at 20-20 with shots on goal.
- WMU outshot the Wolverines 15-8 in the second period alone.
- The Broncos are 9-0-1 when leading after the second period.

 Third Period:
- WMU wins 3-2.
- Michigan outshoots WMU 30-26
- This is the first time has beaten Michigan in Kalamazoo since 2003.  
- Michigan outshot WMU 10-6 in the third period.  

Post-Game:
- WMU is now 11-1-1 this season at home
- WMU was outshot 30-26, the first time they have been outshot at home this season.
- The Broncos are 8-3-1 when playin on Friday nights
- Colton Hargrove sets a career high with five shots on goal.
- WMU is now 3-3-1 when getting outshot by opponent.
- WMU is now (15-6-4, 11-4-2-1) on the season.
- The Broncos are on a two-game winning streak.
- WMU will face the Wolverines tomorrow night, Puck drop is at 7:35
