Broncos Picked to Finish Third in MAC

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced the preseason coaches' poll results in women's tennis, with the Western Michigan women's tennis team picked to repeat their third place finish from a year ago in 2012. The Broncos have never finished lower than third in the conference under head coach Betsy Kuhle.

The Broncos return 2011 First Team All-MAC selection and MAC Freshman of the Year Nini Sujashvili to the fold in 2012; Sujashvili finished the season as the No. 1 singles player for the Broncos in 2011, leading the team with 20 singles victories. Sujashvili has resumed that position in 2012, already compiling a 1-1 record in two matches this year. Also returning is Second Team All-MAC selection Maggie Remynse, who compiled a 19-20 record in singles play and a team-best 20-15 mark in doubles play.

Akron was picked to finish first in the conference, one year after defeating Miami in the conference championship. The RedHawks were picked to finish second, with the Broncos rounding out the top three.
