Pregame

  • Ohio leads the all-time series 62-58.
  • WMU is playing its first home game since Jan. 25, 2011 after going 2-1 on its recent three-game road trip. 
  • Head Coach Steve Hawkins is 3-6 all-time against Ohio.
  • The Broncos are looking to rebound from an 83-71 loss to Akron on Wednesday. WMU is 6-3 in games following a loss this season. 
  • With a victory, WMU would be guaranteed a record of .500 or better against the MAC East.

  • Whitfield with career-high's in points (27), field goals (11), field goal attempts (22), and blocked shots (3). Whitfield also tied his career-high with 12 rebounds and first double-double of the season. 
  • Ward with career-high's in threes (6) and assists (7). Ward has also scored in double figures in eight straight games. 
  • WMU with a school record 11 blocks.
  • Howard with fourth highest block total in a game in school history with six. 
  • Whitfield and Ward each with 20 or more points in two straight games.
