Pregame

  • This is the 76th meeting in the all-time series, with WMU holding a 46-29 advantage.
  • WMU is 29-8 all-time against Northern Illinois at home.
  • WMU is seeking its seventh straight win at University Arena. 
  • With a win, WMU would close out its first run through the MAC West with a 3-2 record. 
  • Western Michigan Athletics will honor Hal and Bonnie Menzie as the 2011 Man & Woman of the Year during halftime.

First Half

WMU has had three players score in double figures  in 16 of their 18 games this season. 
  • Alex Wolf with a career-high in three-pointers attempted and ties career-high in three-pointers for made. Wolf becomes fourth Bronco in double figures. This is the sixth time this season WMU has had four players reach double figures.
  • Season-high in scoring for Wolf. Ties career-high in made field goals. 
  • Whitfield becomes the fifth Bronco in double figures. The only other time WMU had five score in double figures was in a victory over Detroit (Dec. 8). 
  • Career-high for Stainbrook with game-winning tap at buzzer.

Postgame
