Broncos Drop First Game of European Tour, 65-62

ATHENS -- The Western Michigan men's basketball team came back from an 11-point fourth quarter deficit to take a one-point lead, 61-60, with 57 seconds remaining on an Andre Ricks three-pointer, but Pagrati, a Division B1 team (Greece's third division), answered with a three-pointer of its own 16 seconds later and held on for the victory, 65-62, in the third game of the Broncos' European Tour and the first game in Greece.

For the second game on the trip, Ricks led the team in scoring with 19 points while sophomore Shawntes Gary chipped in 10 points off the bench.

Dan Hess and Joe Reitz each added eight points while Donald Cloutier led the Broncos with eight rebounds.

The Broncos trailed 40-29 at halftime, but did win the second half battle, 33-25, before falling short.

Western Michigan is back in action tomorrow against Dafni, a Greek A2 team, at 5:30 p.m.
