WMU FOOTBALL NOTES OF INTEREST
• This will be the 85th meeting between the Broncos and the Chippewas, with WMU leading the series 45-37-2
• The Broncos won the last meeting in the series played in Mount Pleasant, a 42-31 decision on Nov. 3, 2012; it was the first time WMU won a game in Mount Pleasant since 2002 and just the second time since 1973
• The Chippewas won the last meeting between the two teams, 27-22 at Waldo Stadium on Nov. 16, 2013
Corey Davis became the seventh player in program history to record 1,000 receiving yards in a season with 136 yards through the air against Eastern Michigan
• WMU is just the second team in the country this season to produce a 1,000-yard receiver (Davis) and a 1,000-yard rusher (Jarvion Franklin), joining USC who did it two days before the Broncos
Zach Terrell was named the MAC West Offensive Player of the Week for Nov. 17 after throwing for 357 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions against Eastern Michigan
• Terrell posted a 316.8 passing efficiency ranking against the Eagles, completing 17 of 19 passes
• Terrell's 99.94 quarterback rating against EMU is the highest single-game mark in NCAA Division I FBS since former first overall pick Andrew Luck (Stanford) posted a 99.96 against Cal in 2010
• The Bronco defense has held each of its last five opponents under 400 yards of total offense, and three of the five under 300 yards
• The Broncos are currently on their first five-game win streak since winning six straight games in 2008, a year in which they ultimately posted a 9-4 record
• WMU is in the midst of its first five-game MAC winning streak since winning six straight in 2000
• WMU is the only team in the MAC to rank in the top-three of scoring offense (1st) and scoring defense (2nd), as well as total offense (2nd) and total defense (2nd)
Jarvion Franklin needs just six more rushing yards to break the MAC freshman single-season rushing record of 1,331 yards set by Bernard Pierce
• Franklin ranks second in NCAA Division I FBS with a total of 22 rushing touchdowns, one behind Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon
• With three more takeaways recorded by the defense on Saturday, the Broncos are tied for the best turnover margin in the MAC
• WMU is the second-least penalized team in the MAC with an average of just five infractions committed per game, and the Broncos have given up the third-fewest penalty yards per game in the conference at 49.8
