KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The eighth-ranked Western Michigan hockey team opens up the 2026-27 campaign by hosting Western Ontario in an exhibition game on Saturday evening at Lawson Arena. Following the game, WMU is hosting its annual Meet the Team and Skate With the Broncos.

After the game ends, the Broncos will head back into the locker room for a brief cooling off period, and then return to the ice to meet, greet and skate with fans. Players will also be available to sign autographs. Fans must bring their own skates to Skate With the Broncos, as the Lawson Arena skate rental will not be open. Anyone wishing to skate must leave their skates in their vehicle, and retrieve them following the game.

Bronco fans will also have the opportunity to sign their names on dasher board graphics dedicated to the Final Season at Lawson. These dasher boards will then be installed prior to WMU's regular-season opener against Ferris State on Oct. 8, and displayed for the entirety of them Final Season at Lawson.

Single-game tickets are on sale now for the Final Season at Lawson Arena at wmubroncos.com/tickets.
