KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Western Michigan University Athletics announced today that Zeigler Auto Group has been named the presenting sponsor of its outdoor hockey game against the University of Michigan. The highly anticipated matchup, scheduled for Saturday, January 30, 2027, at Waldo Stadium, will officially be known as the Waldo Winter Classic presented by Zeigler Auto Group.

The partnership brings together two organizations with deep roots in West Michigan and a shared commitment to creating memorable experiences for the Kalamazoo community. As presenting sponsor, Zeigler Auto Group will play a prominent role in the marquee matchup between the Broncos and Wolverines and throughout a weeklong celebration of outdoor hockey. Additional activities will include a game between the Kalamazoo Wings and Toledo Walleye, public skating opportunities and community ice rentals.

The previously announced game will transform one of Western Michigan University's most recognizable venues into a unique outdoor hockey setting.
