KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan gymnastics team welcomes Ball State on Sunday for its annual Alumni Meet on Sunday at 1 p.m. at University Arena.
The Broncos (8-6, 2-1 MAC) will also be defying gravity, with a special Wicked theme to the meet.

LAST WEEK
Western Michigan had to change up its schedule after Iowa State canceled its season. WMU found a home at Michigan State, getting to compete against the 11th-ranked Spartans and No. 24 Maryland.
The Broncos tied their third-highest team bars score in program history with a 49.250 to highlight the action.
Kate Parks had her highest score as a Bronco with a 9.875. She tied for third place with teammate
Julie Korfhage in the event. WMU also had a strong showing on floor, tying its season high with a 49.075, with
Brooke Gelesko setting a new career-best mark of 9.875.
NQS TIME
Thanks to three-straight matches with scores of at least 195.00, the Broncos have moved up to 43rd in the nation according to RoadToNationals.com. With the first National Qualifying Score rankings of the season available, WMU comes in with a 194.875, the fourth-highest in the MAC.
Individually,
Reese Samuelson ranks second in the MAC on bars with a NQS of 9.820 and is third on beam with a 9.740.
Brooke Gelesko ranks third on vault with a 9.675 and tied for second on floor with a 9.780.
Hannah Milton sits just behind Gelesko on floor with a 9.775.
A LOOK AT THE CARDINALS
Ball State currently ranks third in the MAC and 41st in the nation with a NQS of 194.956. BSU's go-to event this season has been bars, ranking 30th nationally with a 48.831. The Cardinals are currently 9-4 overall and are the lone unbeaten team in MAC competition with a 4-0 record.
ON THE HORIZON
Western Michigan heads to Eastern Michigan for a quad meet against the Eagles, Illinois State and Wilberfoce. The team then returns home on Friday, March 6 to host ISU at 5 p.m. and then welcomes Kent State for Senior Day on Sunday, March 8 at 12 p.m.
