HOME SWEET HOME
Following a three-game road stretch, Western Michigan returns to University Arena on Wednesday evening to take on Toledo. It is the first home game for the Broncos since defeating rival Central Michigan in front of a crowd of 4,776 back on Jan. 24.

LAST TIME OUT
The Broncos closed out the 2025-26 MAC-Sun Belt Challenge with a 77-61 loss at Texas State on Saturday afternoon. Western Michigan cut a 13-point deficit all the way down to four with five minutes to play, but the Bobcats ended the game on a 16-4 to claim the victory. Trey Lewis paced the Brown and Gold with a career-high 19 points, while Jayden Brewer (13) and Carson Vis (10) were also in double-figures for WMU.

TREY KNOCKING DOWN TREYS
Trey Lewis tied his career high with four three-pointers and added an old-fashioned, three-point play on the way to a career-high 19 points on Saturday at Texas State. It was the second time this season the redshirt junior led the Broncos in scoring, both of which have been off of the bench.

BALANCED BRONCOS
Western Michigan has featured a balanced attack all season long, with 11 different Broncos having scored in double-figures at least once, and five having posted at least one game with 20 or more points. Leading the charge with 14 double-digit scoring performances is Jayden Brewer, with Jalen Griffith not too far behind with 12. Six different players have been WMU's top scorer in a game this season, led by Griffith, who has paced the Brown and Gold eight times.

BENCH BOOST
WMU's depth of scoring has led it to having one of the top bench units in the nation. After getting 34 points from the reserves on Saturday at Texas State, the Brown and Gold lead the MAC and rank 36th in NCAA Division I at 30.0 bench points per game. Nine different players have scored in double-figures in a game off of the Western Michigan bench, with Jayden Brewer, Jalen Griffith, Brady Swartz (twice) and Justice Williams all having posted a 20-plus point scoring performance off of the bench this season.

LET JAYDEN BREW
Jayden Brewer was in double-figures once again on Saturday, tallying 13 points against Texas State for his team-leading 14th double-digit scoring performance of the season. The FIU transfer has also been Western Michigan's top rebounder and shot blocker this season, ranking eighth in the MAC in rebounding at 6.8 per contest and ninth in blocks at 1.0 per game.

CLEANING THE GLASS
Always a strong suit under head coach Dwayne Stephens, WMU ranks among the best rebounding teams in the conference, coming into the week fourth in the league in overall rebounding at 36.6 per game. Jayden Brewer and Max Burton have been one of the top rebounding tandems in the league, with Brewer eighth in the MAC at 6.8 rebounds per game and Burton 14th at 5.9 per contest. In conference play, Western Michigan ranks third in overall rebounding (35.2) and second in offensive rebounding (12.1).

DIALING LONG DISTANCE
WMU enters Wednesday having made at least one three-pointer in 478 straight games, dating back to the 2010-11 season.

SERIES HISTORY
Toledo comes into Wednesday's matchup with a 96-63 lead in the all-time series with Western Michigan. The Rockets won this season's first meeting at Savage Arena back on Dec. 30 for their 15th consecutive win in the series. The Broncos are looking for their first victory over UT since sweeping both meetings during the 2016-17 campaign.

WHEN LAST WE MET
In this season's first meeting, Western Michigan held a double-digit lead in the early stages of the second half, but the Rockets rallied late to pick up the 84-79 victory. In his Bronco debut, Justice Williams led the way with 20 points, while EJ Ryans (12), Trey Lewis (11) and Max Burton (10) were also in double-figures for WMU.

THE ROAD AHEAD
Western Michigan heads to Ypsilanti on Saturday for its second meeting of the season with Eastern Michigan.
