ON THE ROAD AGAIN
Following a bye over the weekend, Western Michigan hits the road once again on Tuesday evening as it visits undefeated Miami.

LAST TIME OUT
The Broncos have had a week off since falling 84-79 at Toledo on Dec. 30. Justice Williams paced the Brown and Gold with 20 points in his WMU debut, and was joined in double-figures by EJ Ryans (12), Trey Lewis (11) and Max Burton (10). Jayden Brewer led Western Michigan on the boards with 11.

A LONG TIME COMING
Justice Williams made his Western Michigan debut in last Tuesday's setback at Toledo and netted a team-leading 20 points. It marked the senior's first regular-season appearance in 665 days, after having missed WMU's first 13 games this season and the entire 2024-25 campaign at Robert Morris due to injury. Before Dec. 30, Williams' last regular-season action was back on March 5, 2024, when he suited up for RMU in the first round of the 2024 Horizon League Championship.

BALANCED BRONCOS
Western Michigan had four players score in double-figures for the second consecutive game in last Tuesday's contest at Toledo. With Justice Williams netting a team-leading 20 points, he became the 11th different Bronco to have a double-digit scoring game this season and the fifth to score at least 20 points in a game. Western Michigan has had six different leading scorers through its first 14 games, with Jalen Griffith having paced the Brown and Gold in scoring a team-high seven times. Leading the charge with eight double-digit scoring performances apiece are Griffith and Jayden Brewer.

GRIFF GETTING IT DONE
Jalen Griffith has made a big impact in his first season for the Brown and Gold. The junior has been in double-figures eight times, led Western Michigan in scoring a team-high seven times and has recorded five or more assists in six contests in 2025-26, including a career-high 10 to record the first double-double of his collegiate career in the win at SIUE on Dec. 6. Griffith leads WMU in both categories, ranking 10th in the MAC in scoring (15.5 PPG) and fourth in assists (4.5).

LET JAYDEN BREW
Jayden Brewer snagged a team-high 11 rebounds at Toledo, his team-leading fifth double-digit rebounding performance of the campaign. The FIU transfer has been a key addition for the Broncos this season, ranking second on the team in scoring at 13.0 points per game, and also leading the Brown and Gold and sitting sixth in the league in rebounding at 7.5 per contest. He heads into Tuesday night with 998 points in his collegiate career. The Indianapolis native also tallied three blocks against the Rockets, moving him up to 1.1 blocks per game, which ranks sixth in the conference.

DIALING LONG DISTANCE
The Broncos enter Tuesday having made at least one three-pointer in 469 straight games, dating back to the 2010-11 season. Brady Swartz has been WMU's top sharpshooter, hitting three-pointers at a 47.1 percent clip, the second-best mark in the MAC.

SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday will be the first of two regular season meetings between the RedHawks and Broncos, with the rematch set for Feb. 28 in Kalamazoo. Western Michigan has won three of the last four meetings, but Miami heads into Tuesday's matchup with an 89-53 overall advantage in the all-time series. The two teams split last season's two meetings, with each team a collecting a win on its home floor. WMU is 13-54 all-time in Oxford.

SCOUTING THE REDHAWKS
Miami is one of six remaining undefeated teams in NCAA Division I. The RedHawks moved to 15-0 and 3-0 in MAC play with a 76-73 victory over preseason conference favorite Akron on Saturday. Miami's hot start has been fueled by one of the nation's top offenses, as it comes into Tuesday averaging 93.7 points per game, the second-highest mark in the league and ninth-best in the nation. The RedHawks lead DI in overall field goal percentage (.536), and are also top-5 nationally in three-point percentage (.428) and made three-pointers (11.7).

HOMEWARD BOUND
Western Michigan begins a stretch of five out of six at home on Saturday afternoon against Eastern Michigan.
