Western Michigan continues its stretch of four out of five at home with a pair of tilts at University Arena this week. The Broncos welcome Bowling Green to town on Tuesday night and then host CMU on Saturday evening as part of a rivalry doubleheader.

Justice Williams paced the Brown and Gold with 28 points, while
Jayden Brewer tallied 23 points and a team-leading seven rebounds.

Brady Swartz were in double-figures as well, netting 14 points apiece.
OFFENSE CLICKING
Western Michigan hit 55.7 percent (34-of-61) of its field goal attempts, its second-highest, single-game field goal percentage of the season, on the way to its 89 points on Saturday at Akron. The 89 points were the most for WMU against a Division I opponent this season and the most against a MAC opponent since erupting for 97 in a 97-64 win at Buffalo last February.
WHAT A WEEK FOR WILLIAMS
Justice Williams put together the two best scoring games of his collegiate career last week, averaging 28.5 points per game while shooting 75.0 percent (21-of-28) from the field and 66.7 percent (10-of-15) from three-point range. On Tuesday against UMass, the redshirt senior went 10-of-13 on field goals and 5-of-8 from downtown to tally a career-high 29 points. He picked up right where he left off on Saturday at Akron, tallying 28 points on 11-of-15 from the field and 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. In MAC play, Williams ranks fifth in the confernce with an average of 19.6 points per contest.
BALANCED BRONCOS
Western Michigan has featured a balanced attack all season long, and had four score in double-figures on Saturday at Akron. So far this season, 11 different Broncos have scored in double-figures at least once, and five have posted at least one game with 20 or more points. Leading the charge with 11 double-digit scoring performances apiece are
Jayden Brewer and
Jalen Griffith. Six different players have been WMU's top scorer in a game this season, led by Griffith, who has done so eight times.
LET JAYDEN BREW
Jayden Brewer came off of the bench for the first time as a Bronco on Saturday and responded by erupting for 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting. The senior is the fourth Western Michigan player to score 20+ points off of the bench this season, joining
Jalen Griffith,
Brady Swartz and
Justice Williams. Brewer also added a team-leading seven rebounds on Saturday and ranks sixth in the MAC at 7.3 rebounds per contest.
GRIFF GETTING IT DONE
Jalen Griffith continues to fuel the Western Michigan offense and totaled 14 points and eight assists on Saturday at Akron. The Navarro College transfer owns 11 double-digit scoring performances, has led WMU in scoring a team-leading eight times and ranks 13th in the conference in scoring at 14.8 points per game. Saturday was Griffith's eighth game with at least five assists this season, and he ranks eighth in the league at 4.4 helpers per game.
DIALING LONG DISTANCE
The Broncos made a season-high tying 12 three-pointers for the second consecutive game on Saturday at Akron. Western Michigan enters Tuesday having made at least one three-pointer in 473 straight games, dating back to the 2010-11 season.
SERIES HISTORY
Bowling Green comes into Tuesday night's matchup with a 78-52 lead in the all-time series between the two programs. The Broncos and Falcons split last season's two meetings, with each team winning on the other's home floor. Western Michigan's win at BGSU on the final night of the regular season punched its ticket to Cleveland as the six seed for the 2025 MAC Tournament.
