KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Western Michigan graduate student midfielder
Avery Peters was named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the week, the league announced this afternoon.
Peters continued to produce on offense, scoring a league-leading two goals on three shots on goal this past week. Her score on Thursday helped WMU tie the match in the second half against Miami. The Broncos would go on to win the game by a final score of 3-2.
She followed that up with a goal on Sunday against Bowling Green to help the Brown and Gold reach 25 games without a loss in MAC play. She also moved to three straight games with a goal. On the season, Peters has eight points on three goals and two assists.
Peters and the Broncos will be back in action on Thursday at home against Ohio. The game is set for 4 PM at the WMU Soccer Complex.
