KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team will open NCAA Tournament play at Wisconsin on Friday, Nov. 14. The two teams will meet at 8 PM ET at the McClimon Soccer Complex.
LAST TIME OUT
Western Michigan secured its fifth MAC Tournament Championship in program history, defeating Bowling Green, 1-0, in the title game.
Heidi Thomasma earned Tournament MVP honors, scoring the game-winning goal in the 60th minute.

GETTING HOT AT THE RIGHT TIME
The Broncos enter the NCAA Tournament as one of the hottest teams in the nation, winning their last seven games by a combined total of 15-2.
WMU's win streak is the second longest active streak in the nation, trailing only Liberty (9). The Brown and Gold are tied for the most wins in the nation, entering Friday's matchup with a program record 16 victories.
Western Michigan has shutout its last three opponents, allowing just six shots on net. The Brown and Gold haven't surrendered more than one goal in a game since a 5-2 victory over UMass on Oct. 2.
MAGNIFICENT MARTIN
Senior Midfielder
Drew Martin has been sensational throughout the 2025 season, entering Friday's match with 23 points on five goals and 13 assists.
The Bloomfield Hills, Mich. native earned MAC Midfielder of the Year honors and was named to the MAC All-Tournament Team after delivering an assist on the game-winning goal in the championship match. She leads the MAC and is third in the NCAA in total assists.
Martin has started all 20 matches, playing nearly 1500 minutes in 2025. She has more goals, assists and points this season than she did in her previous three years combined. Martin entered the 2025 campaign with nine points on three goals and three assists.
For her career, the veteran midfielder has produced eight goals and 16 assists. She has played in 66 total matches for the Brown and Gold.
SCOUTING THE BADGERS
Wisconsin has had a strong season, entering the national tournament with a 13-5-2 overall record and 6-3-2 mark in the Big Ten. The Badgers are 2-2-1 over their last five games, falling in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament.
WMU trails the all-time series, 0-3-1, but the two teams battled to a 1-1 draw last season in Madison. This is the first ever postseason meeting between the two programs.
Brooke Allen and Erin Connolly have been the go-to options on offense, with each having 14 points this season. Connolly has seven goals and is a First Team All-Big Ten selection. Allen has six goals and two assists, earning Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors.
In net, Drew Stover has started all 20 games, boasting a 13-5-2 record, .85 goals against average and .782 save percentage. She earned Third Team All-Big Ten honors.
