KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team heads to Bowling Green on Sunday afternoon, with the match set to begin at 1 PM at Cochrane Stadium.

Western Michigan collected its fifth straight win on Thursday, knocking off Miami, 3-2.

Meredith Vance were the goal scorers. Peters and Vance have now scored in back-to-back matches.
Reagan Sulaver tallied her first career MAC win in net.
RETURN OF THE MAC
The Broncos will continue MAC play on Sunday afternoon looking to maintain their status as the best team in the league. WMU was picked first in the preseason coaches poll, receiving 135 points and eight first-place votes.
The Brown and Gold haven't lost a game in conference play since the 2022 season. Western Michigan is the only team in MAC women's soccer history to go undefeated in league play in back-to-back seasons.
WMU enters Sunday's action with a 24-match unbeaten streak in MAC play. The last MAC team to beat the Broncos was Ohio back on Oct. 23, 2022.
MAGNIFICENT MEREDITH
After a strong freshman season in 2024 for the Brown and Gold,
Meredith Vance has continued to produce in 2025.
The defensive midfielder scored her first career goal against DePaul back on Sept. 13 and followed that up with a goal against Miami on Thursday. Her tally against the RedHawks was the game-winning goal.
Vance is the reigning MAC Defensive Player of the Week, helping the Broncos give up just eight goals this season.
SCOUTING THE FALCONS
Bowling Green is undefeated in MAC play, sitting at 1-0-1, while also boasting a 6-1-2 overall record. BGSU's lone loss came to Illinois back in mid-August.
Western Michigan leads the all-time series 18-11-3, including a 6-5-2 record in BG. The Brown and Gold won last year's matchup, 4-0.
Emma Stransky has been the go-to scorer, as she leads the team with five goals this season. Gabby Lamparty and Ellie Pool have each chipped in six points on two goals and two assists.
In net, Payton O'Malley has started all nine matches. She has three shutouts to go along with a .67 goals against average and .846 save percentage.
