MADISON, Wis. -- After two rounds of play at the Badger Invitational, the Western Michigan women's golf team remains 13th overall.
The Broncos remain at over 20 above par after two rounds in Wisconsin. While Lauren Lupnek led WMU during round one carding five over par,
Megha Vallabhaneni moved into the top spot for the Brown and Gold at only two over par on Monday. With scores of 78 in round one and 74 in round two, Vallabhaneni jumped up 15 spots in the individual rankings to 45th overall.Â
Also moving up the individual rankings after Monday's second round was freshman
Danielle Daniy, moving up three spots after carding 78 compared to her Sunday round of 80.
Bella Brooks climbed two spots with a round two score of 79 to make her overall total during the Badger Invitational at 160 to be 16 over par.Â
Shooting the highest counted score of round two for the Broncos was Lupnek, going from carding 77 on Sunday to 80 on Monday. Overall Lupnek is still second on WMU's team with a total score of 157 to be 13 over par. Rounding out the day for Western Michigan was
Jenna Hayes with a score of 84 for the second round.
As a team, the Broncos are 13th with a total score of 624 after a round one score of 313 and a round two score of 311. Leading the way at the Badger Invitational is Illinois with a team score of 563 to be 13 under par. The next closest team is Western Kentucky at 574, at only two strokes under par.Â
