Seven Broncos Named AHCA/Krampade All-American Scholars

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – After a record setting year on the ice, Western Michigan has continued its run with more success in the classroom. The Broncos had seven players named All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association, which is the second highest total in program history. 

The honorees included Cole Crusberg-Roseen, Cam Knuble, Brian Kramer, Zach Nehring, Grant Slukynsky, Hampton Slukynsky and Tim Washe. To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester and had to appear in 40% of the team's games.

Crusberg-Roseen carries a 3.97 GPA in Pre-Business Law. He produced 12 points on three goals and nine assists this season, including a tally in the National Championship game. Knuble served as an assistant captain this season and holds a 3.75 in Business Administration. He had a career year in the Brown and Gold, finishing the season with 15 points on five goals and 10 assists. 

Kramer joined the program this season and fit in nicely. He held a 3.75 GPA in Business Administration, while collecting 17 points on two goals and 15 assists. Nehring was also in his first year with the team, and he secured a 4.00 GPA in Pre-Finance. He had a tremendous rookie season, notching 30 points on 13 goals and 17 assists. 

The Slukynsky's were exceptional on and off the ice, as they both finished with 3.89 GPA's. Grant is a Finance major, while Hampton studies Pre-Business. Grant was third on the team in scoring this season with 36 points (10-26-36). Hampton was a brick wall in net, winning 19 games to go along with a 1.90 goals against average and .922 save percentage. 

Washe was the heart and soul of the Broncos, serving as the team's captain throughout the record-breaking season. He carries a 3.75 GPA in Business Administration and was second on the team in scoring this season (16-22-38). He signed an NHL deal after the season, making his NHL debut with the Anaheim Ducks on April 15, 2025.
